The Häagen-Dazs Shopping Company, Inc. seeks operators who choose
Häagen-Dazs because they believe the brand can help them achieve their personal
and financial goals through product excellence, superior customer service and a
franchise relationship based on dedication and integrity.
1. Request for Contact -
Applicant submits a franchise application with
third party documentation of assets (e.g. bank statements, etc.) Based on a review of the Request
for Consideration, Häagen-Dazs determine whether to send Federal Disclosure Document and Application.
2. Applicant Interview -
Upon approval of the financial application and if information suggests that the applicant is an appropriate
franchise candidate, he or she will be invited to an interview at Häagen-Dazs Shoppe Company headquarters
in Minneapolis, MN.
Application and Financial Qualifications
3. Franchise Agreement -
A non-location specific Franchise Agreement will be issued upon completion of successful interview.
Steps 1-3 typically range from eight to twelve weeks for completion.
4. Site Review -
Franchisee identifies and analyzes a proposed Shop site (Shoppe Company provides guidelines for analyzing location).
5. Construction -
Shopping Company provides franchisee's architect with design information, which the architect uses to design a Shop.
Construction begins after Shoppe Company approves the final plans.
6. Training -
Franchisee successfully completes a 12-day Häagen-Dazs Shop training class held in Minneapolis, MN.
7. Shop Opens -
Start scooping and have fun!
Steps 4-7 vary greatly. While some projects can take six months to complete, other projects may take up to five years for completion.
